Install the Gifty widget

Gifty uses your Shopify theme's app embed and supported app-block locations to add gift options without changing theme files.

Activate the app embed

1. Open Gifty AI Storefront Setup from the Gifty app.
2. Select the theme you want to configure.
3. If the page shows App embed required, select Install Widget.
4. Shopify opens the theme editor. Turn on the Gifty app embed and save the theme.
5. Return to Gifty. The setup page checks the app embed again when the window regains focus.

Configure storefront locations

After the app embed is active, select Run setup. Gifty checks the selected theme and shows the available installation locations.

• Use Auto (Recommended) to let Gifty configure supported storefront locations.
• Use App Block when you want to place available blocks yourself in Shopify's theme editor.

Wait for setup to show a verified result, then preview the product, cart, cart line-item, or supported drawer location you intend to use.

Finish with a storefront test

Open the storefront for the selected theme, add a product to the cart, and confirm that the gift option appears in every enabled location. If it does not, follow the widget visibility troubleshooting guide before contacting support.
